Go (Do)nuts this week!

National Donut Week (NDW) raises funds for Children’s Trust and we can’t think of any better way to support it than by making, munching…and selling donuts!

Whether your favourites are solid, with or without jam, icing, cream or custard, or lovely ring ones laced in sugar, these tempting treats are sure to brighten your days. Time to treat your work colleagues to a tray of donuts or join the charity event as a baker, school or business and the funds you raise will go straight to the Children’s Trust charity.

All you have to do is register for free to receive a pack of goodies that will help you organise and promote the week for the good of the charity.

What is the Children’s Trust?

The Trust provides rehabilitation to children and young people with brain injury so that they make the best recovery possible following a serious incident or illness. The charity is based at the national specialist centre in Surrey and nationwide via a multidisciplinary team of experts. It also houses one of the only specialist schools in the UK offering education, therapy and care of young people aged 3-19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

Ready to make your own?

As it’s still the tail end of lockdown and being home-based, you might just like to try your hand at making donuts yourself this year. BBC Good Food says that once you’ve tried this irresistibly tasty homemade donuts recipe, there’ll be no going back – do let us know how you get on!
