A Covid-19 Halloween?

Why not? We can’t let a pandemic spoil the fun of Halloween. But we can curb the risks by doing things slightly differently this year.

From trick or treating to apple bobbing, Halloween traditions aren’t things you would immediately consider to be “Covid-safe”. It won’t be the same this year but there are things that the kids (and you!) can still enjoy.

  • Virtual costume parties and spooky video chats with friends and family give the chance to connect with loved ones while showing off costumes and playing games.
  • Outdoor Halloween parades are fun, albeit at 1-2metres apart, while wearing face masks to complement the spooky costumes.
  • Indoor parties within your household can include treasure hunts, themes games and music – a great way to bring the family together.

Whatever you do this Covid-19 Halloween, we hope you have a chillingly good time!

Restrictions on the number of people who can meet up are in place across the UK. Group sizes have to be limited and are often not allowed indoors at all. Local lockdowns are also taking place, with extra restrictions. Do check the latest government guidelines to find out more.
