Dont forget! Mother’s Day!

This Sunday (14th March) is an important date for your diary, so don’t forget Mother’s Day – this year of all years!

With Covid-19 restrictions still in full swing, we all have to be a little more creative when it comes to treating mum on her special day.

But how can we celebrate if we can’t actually be with her this year?

Ideas for Mother’s Day 2021…

  • Breakfast surprises – You might not be there in person, but you can always order coffee and breakfast from her favourite local spot and have it delivered to her door when she wakes up. Morrisons is offering an afternoon tea box for delivery, while M&S has launched a Mother’s Day Continental Breakfast in Bed Gift. At £20 each, these are easy options to send love and comfort from afar.
  • Driveway messages – Messages on her driveway are a novel way to let her know you love her. Ask the kids (or adult kids) in the family to chalk up their heartfelt messages and drawings to honour mum, grandma or great grandma.
  • Movie time – well, if it’s not together, at least watch at the same time and then have a good giggle and reminisce over mother-daughter movies like: Little WomenSteel Magnolias and Wine Country.
  • Happy Hour – Time to raise a glass to the one who raised you over Zoom or any other video conferencing app. Tune into some music, enjoy wine or cocktails and chat the night away!
  • Deck the door – When you drop off her Mother’s Day card and gift, take a little time to dress her door with a spring wreath – she’ll have a lovely surprise when a burst of cheer greets her next time she opens her door.
